Our Doncaster facility is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year with the floor space capacity of over 900 square metres. Data centre integrity is ensured by purpose designed
environmental management, security, electrical, and fire containment systems. The data centre serves clients in both the government and private sectors.
Security
Restricted access is controlled by an Electronic Card Access System that provides appropriate levels of access to different cardholders. Personnel are onsite 24×7. All security systems are backed up by regulated power supply and battery backup.
Cooling Units
Two water cooled chiller units, each of sufficient capacity to maintain computer hall cooling are deployed with one in normal operation and one in stand-by. Each chiller has their own chilled water and condenser water pumps. The condenser water is cooled by a high efficiency cooling tower located on the roof. An independent chiller unit with air cooled condenser supplies chilled water to the building comfort air conditioning. The house air chiller can be swapped over to provide cooling for the computer hall as a fail safe back-up to the two (2) water cooled systems. The main computer room air conditioning is provided by ten (10) Precision Environmental Control Chilled Water units discharging conditioned air into the 600mm high sub-floor space. They are placed five at each end of the room to promote uniform airflow. Chilled and heated water is supplied to these units for temperature and humidity control. Servicing and maintenance of the units can be performed from outside of the computer hall.
