Facility overview
The Nottingham data centre facility is based just outside of Nottingham city centre accessible easily by both by car and public transport. We have parking facilities and are located close to both bus and tram stops.
The facility is a newly built data centre which has been designed to the very highest standards, from the fabric of the data centre to the infrastructure supporting the systems held and running within it.
Controlled expandability
The design uses a modular model so the facility can be expanded when required, this ensures power and cooling are ‘right sized’ rather than being over sized unnecessarily, keeping inefficiencies to an absolute minimum which has the benefit of ensuring costs are also minimised.
Multimillion pound investment
The data centre has had considerable investment put into it, to ensure this investment is used to its greatest effect, we have designed a data centre from the ‘ground up’ rather than trying to fit a solution around a default blueprint.
Built for uptime and efficiency
The data centre is built to a Tier 3 standard ensuring that the ‘lights are kept on’, the design has focused on efficiency while ensuring resiliency from provider to the server cabinet.

Infrastructure can be can be maintained without impacting services running. Failure of a single component will not affect the running of the data centre. Target of 99.99% uptime or better.Server cabinets and Cold aisle containment
All collocated hardware is installed into 48u server cabinets, this ensures customers are getting maximum footprint space helping us to ensure the data hall is used efficiently. We have designed the data hall to incorporate cold aisle containment to further enhance the efficiencies within the data centre. We have POD’s of 14 cabinets in each contained cold aisle.
Connectivity
We offer various connectivity options including shared internet access from our own network, which is a built using diverse circuits into the building from multiple suppliers, ensuring any failures at the carrier level will not affect us.
If you require dedicated and diverse links we can accommodate this as we are a carrier neutral site, and can provide connectivity via all the main carriers to suit customers requirements. All circuits are terminated in our demarcation cabinets and connected to your systems with crosslinks.
Security
The facility is secured and monitored to some of the industries most stringent guidelines, we have physical security, access control and monitoring. The building has security fencing and gates around the perimeter.
We have a door access system which ensure only authorised personnel, internal staff/customers and contractors, are able to access approved areas. All cabinets in the data hall are secured and access is controlled to authorised personnel only.
