Timico have invested more than £5 million in a purpose-built data centre to provide our customers with a range of flexible hosting solutions integrated into a national MPLS network.
Our secure, flexible and high performance colocation, hosting and backup solutions have been designed specifically to cater for the Software as a Service era.
Our Tier 3+ data centre comprises:
-Two data halls, each 2,000 square feet with 72 rack capacity
-Heavy duty flooring raised to 60cm height for ease of access for cabling runs and to improve airflow
-Racks arranged in pods of 18 with sliding door access to the pod
-Customer workspaces, drinks facilities and wireless internet access
-On site Network Operations Centre for monitoring and maintenance
Cooling
We’ve used the latest design principles to minimise power consumption, generate customer savings and improve our carbon footprint. This includes cold aisle containment which reduces the volume of cold air required and contributes to a target Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2.
Security
Keeping your data safe is paramount, so security perimeter fencing with key card access for pedestrians and vehicles and dual method biometric and key card access control system into data halls comes as standard. Comprehensive internal and external CCTV systems monitored and stored locally and externally complete the security.
Power
Designed to exceed Tier 3 standards for customer availability, our Newark data centre benefits from dual generators, standby UPS batteries and a dedicated substation.
Fire suppression
Industry standard fire detection and suppression technology is in place to keep your data safe. We use VESDA air sampling smoke detection systems and FM200 gaseous fire suppression equipment to seal the data hall and make it safe.
Connectivity
High speed connectivity is core to our business, so it makes perfect sense that the data centre is meshed into our national MPLS network for seamless delivery of hosted applications.
